On Monday, we visited Petmania. We saw lots of different animals. We met Keith who works there and he told us how to care for the animals and what they like to eat. We learned about guinea pigs and got to hold a hamster. We fed the fish. We saw a tarantula and a bearded dragon. We even got to pet a gecko. We had a lovely time.

Ms. Gaffey organised a Christmas art activity with the girls and some of their parents. They painted glass jars and made beautiful Christmas creations. Thanks to everyone that helped out.
We hope you like our big paper snowflakes that we made. We used math skills like naming and making squares (2D shapes), following instructions, noticing symmetry, cutting and folding to construct them (3D shapes).

We were learning about wild animals in Ireland. Different people did projects on foxes, deers, bats, rabbits and hedgehogs. We all did the projects in groups of 2. Here are some pictures of our projects.

On Wednesday last week students from Tullamore College came to our school for Science Week. They gave us S.T.E.M. challenges to do. S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, so the challenges were pretty tricky! (Lillian 5th class)........
