We used squared grids to make designs in colouring pencil first and then tried the same pattern as "String Art". Here are the pictures. ( Click on the thumbnails.) Thanks for reading the 5th class blog.
Today, 5th class had a great day out to visit Mount Lucas Wind Farm. We enjoyed the presentation that our guide Catherine gave us. She told us some funny stories and we learned a lot about the turbines and the wind farm. We had a chance to enjoy the interactive activities and we had a virtual trip to the top of a turbine. (That was scary but fun ! ) We filled in a quiz and Shauna won a goody-bag. Here are the pictures: Today we worked on a quilling project. Quilling is a paper craft where narrow strips of coloured paper are rolled and shaped and used to make pictures. It's a bit harder to do than it looks !! Click on the thumbnails below: Hope you like our cherry blossoms. We used the bottoms of plastic bottles to paint the petals. The cherry blossoms outside our school were pruned this year and the wind and rain have blown off most of the petals now, but we can still enjoy our paintings ! Thanks for reading the 5th class Blog.
