Today 5th class girls visited Mount Lucas Wind Farm. You can read the report and see the photographs on the "5th class" Blog under the "Classes" tab. Self Help AfriciaWe were delighted to welcome Ronan Scully back to our school today. We raised over 500 euros for the children of Africa. Ronan was presented with our school mascot Phil to take with him as he returns to East Africa on Friday. I am sure Phil will bring lots of joy and happiness to the little girls and boys of Africa.
A big thank you to our girls again for raising so much money for such a great charity. St. Philomena's soccer team travelled to the MDL Grounds in Navan for the Leinster finals. They played against teams from Longford, Carlow and Dublin. They drew against Longford, beat Carlow and lost against Dublin. They played extremely well and never gave up. They were supported by Ms. Marron's Fifth Class who cheered them on throughout the matches. They were runners up at the end of the day and were very proud to be presented with their medals by Martin O' Neill. Thanks to Ms. O'Meara, Ms. Gaffey, parents and coaches for helping with the team. |
