Positive Affirmation Friday! Can you choose your favourite affirmation and make a poster from it? I have attached an example. So get creative, use bubble writing, or different colours or write it in your normal handwriting and decorate with things that make you feel happy (rainbows, sun, dogs, flowers, football...whatever you like!)
Some affirmation ideas: I BELIEVE IN ME I AM A GOOD FRIEND I CHOOSE POSITIVITY Hi everyone! I am attaching some English and Maths today. The English work revises some of the spelling patterns and word endings we were working on last term: words that end in 'or' or 'ur'. I also have another page of English that revises alphabetical order and word definitions.
The Maths work shows how we can use partitioning when multiplying with a two digit number. There are also some mental maths questions that you could try (or maybe try some of them). Try your best...revising what you have learned before is really important! Have a great day today. :-) Good morning everyone! I am going to post some photos showing how to make slime using just two ingredients. It's very easy. Slime is fun to make but can also be very relaxing for some people. Lots of people enjoy the sensation and feeling of having something gooey and gloopy on our hands. Some people don't, and that's ok too! You could create your own procedural writing after making it. Use words and phrases like: You will need, Step 1, Finally... As always, email me to let me know how you got on! Do you ever wonder where the missing socks go to when a perfect pair suddenly just becomes one odd sock? Open the file below to see a writing activity, an art activity and some word work...all about ODD SOCKS :-)
This great poem tells us about all of the things that are found in the pocket of a sailor who has been shipwrecked at sea. Look at the photos below and let your imagination run free with the things that could maybe, possibly be discovered in these places. (i) Grandpa's Garden Shed (ii) The Old Classroom Cupboard (iii) The Ballet Dancer's Dressing Room (iv) The Lost Suitcase You can write it as a poem, or just as sentences. Have fun! Let's get creative with many of the things we already have at home! I am going to post some pictures of the little 'shop' I made at home. You can make one too and add your own prices. :-)
Try my questions first to practice some numeracy skills. + x - / = Using punctuation correctly (or incorrectly) can change the meaning of what we are saying. I am attaching a work sheet for you to think about the question words you use and inserting a question mark at the end of each.
Happy Friday! I have demonstrated an activity in the pictures below that will help you to recognise and match sight/dolch/tricky words. After you will have your own little poster to hang somewhere at home so that you see the words often. This will also help you to learn them. This works too for anyone who has some spellings that are tricky or some words that they can't seem to get the hang of writing correctly. You could do a more creative version of mine and design the labels with a cloud or bubble, or write the different letters in different colours. Hope you enjoy :-)
Good Morning to you all. I am attaching a fun poem today about some mermaids who run a swimming school and all the creatures that come to dance and swim. There are a few questions underneath for you to try. For the last question you can make your own poem or story as funny as you like!
