Hi Everyone!
This activity produces a nice piece of abstract art through a scientific reaction ans some creativity. It is called: 'Science Surprise Drip Art' (Ask your parents for help with this because it can be messy) You will need: different food colouring, a bun or muffin tray, baking soda, white vinegar and some paper. 1) Add a few drops of food colouring to each part of your muffin tray. 2) Fill each with baking soda. 3) Add some white vinegar to each one and see how the colour 'surprises' you from underneath. (Learn more about acids and bases and let me know what you find out through your research) 4) Drop it on a page and flick it or try let it drip and run. 5) See what abstract and colourful patterns you can make. CLEAN UP CAREFULLY AFTERWARDS.... enjoy :-) (You don't need the little pipettes, a spoon/ladle will work just fine!) Comments are closed.
