Well done to St. Philomena's soccer team on winning the Offaly round of the Spar Primary 5 soccer competition in Leah Victoria Park on Friday, March 6th. They played extremely, well winning all of their matches. They will now go forward to the mid-Leinster finals in Portlaoise.
Well done to St Philomena's soccer team on winning the Offaly round of the Spar Primary 5 soccer competition in Leah Victoria Park on March 29th. The girls played extremely well against some very tough competition. They will now go forward to the mid-Leinster finals in Portlaoise on May 1st.
Soccer St. Philomena's soccer team travelled to the MDL Grounds in Navan for the Leinster finals. They played against teams from Longford, Carlow and Dublin. They drew against Longford, beat Carlow and lost against Dublin. They played extremely well and never gave up. They were supported by Ms. Marron's Fifth Class who cheered them on throughout the matches. They were runners up at the end of the day and were very proud to be presented with their medals by Martin O' Neill. Thanks to Ms. O'Meara, Ms. Gaffey, parents and coaches for helping with the team.
Well done to St. Philomena's soccer team for winning the Mid-Leinster round of the Spar Primary 5 Competition in Portlaoise. They faced off stiff competition from teams from Portarlington and Sallins to emerge victorious. They will now go forward to the Leinster Finals in Navan on May 10th and we wish them the very best of luck.

Four teams from St. Philomena's took part in the FAI Primary Schools 5 a side competition in April. This was played in the Leah Victoria, Tullamore. One team got through to the mid-Leinsters which was was played in Portlaoise Leisure Centre grounds. They came runners up in group C girls competition. We are very proud of all the girls who took part in these competitions and hopefully we will be ready for next years competitions!
