Hi Girls,
Hope you are all well and you're not missing your friends and school life too much. I have a few activities here to keep you busy, its important that you keep your brain active! Maths: Math's Challenge: Do 1 test a day. (5 a week) I am aware that the book is nearly finished but that is alright as its coming up to the school holidays now. Tables: Practice x3, x4 times tables this week. Ask someone at home to test you as often as possible if they have time. English: Read at Home: Do 1 comprehension a day. (Remember: full sentences, neatly labelled and in homework copy) DEAR: At least 15 minutes of reading a day. This is so important girls! When you finish a book write a book report in your English copy. We practiced these just before school finished up, I also sent home a template to help you if you're finding it tricky. Spellwell: Do the next week's activities and practice a box of spellings each night. Ask someone to test you on Friday if they can, but don't worry if that's not possible. *If you only learn 10 spellings a week, choose the spellings you use the most in your writing. Gaeilge: Practice writing 3 frasaí of your choice from your notebook. SPHE: Diary: I'd like you to keep a daily diary from Monday to Friday. (Feel free to write in it at weekends if you'd like also) At least a half a copy page is to be written and you can draw a picture if you wish. It is important that you have some quiet time and you can write down your thoughts and feelings. Remember to write the day and date on each page. This can be done in the back of your homework copy. PE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rz0go1pTda8 Simply type P.E with Joe into your YOUTUBE search bar and a P.E session for that day will pop up. You can get a family member to join you too. P.E. with Joe (a.k.a The Bodycoach) is a great online PE lesson that is a lot of fun, its #1 on trending. A new P.E class is uploaded every day from Monday to Friday and they are 30 mins long. You're doing your PE from your living room instead of St. Mary's Youth Centre- what a strange idea. Its very important that you get plenty of exercise. Hope you enjoy girls! I am aware that next week you'll be on your Easter Holidays so I'll upload some activity ideas rather than work to keep you busy and I am sure you'll really enjoy them. So keep an eye on the website. For any parents that need to contact me of have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me on my work email: [email protected] If you'd like a learning resource to help your child in any way I would recommend a website called Twinkl. It has activities for all subjects and topics. During these times free membership is offered to parents which is brilliant. Stay Safe, Ms. Lee We all settled into 4th class well and are getting lots of work done. Everyone dressed up for Halloween, including Ms. Lee! We enjoyed seeing all our friends costumes, we are a very creative bunch. Take a look :)
Thank you to Ms. Buckley and Orla who both came in and made everyone in room 4 pancakes. It was a very tasty treat. The girls were taught how to make pancake batter and everyone got a fresh pancake. We added toppings of our choice. We all really enjoyed Pancake Tuesday. |
