We used watercolours to create a dreamy January sky. After painting the sky, we sprinkled some salt on to absorb some of the water and give the painting some texture. We used pastels to draw and shade our birch trees. After that, we used white tempura paint with cotton buds to add the snow. It's time to mix Science and ICT. We used the tablets to type information about the lungs. We learned about fonts and inserting pictures. Mrs. Heaslip helped us to save and print our work. It's on display in our Science corner!
Our study of Henri Matisse tied in perfectly with our projects on France! Look at all the beautiful and bright colours we used to create our version of his masterpiece 'Goldfish'.
We created research booklets on France. We worked in pairs to do the project and really enjoyed presenting to the class.
4th Class explored the Greek Myth 'Demeter and Persephone'. We retold the story in our own words and created beautiful illustrations.
Using paper and glue (and our imaginations) we created some very fashionable skeletons for Halloween.
Halloween might still be a few weeks away, but in 4th class we have been looking at the skeleton. We learned about the function of the skeleton, how bones grow and change and we identified some of the bones in the human skeleton. |
