Well girls! Welcome to another week of distance learning. Today we begin phase 1 in easing our Lockdown restrictions, the first step on our road to recovery. I am so proud of how you all have adapted to your new way of living and learning. We are getting through this together and together we will rise again. Stay Positive, Stay Happy and Keep Smiling Luv Ms. O Meara Now for this week's home learning theme. You are going to get really creative and imagine that you are going to set up a new restaurant in Tullamore. You really got to think out your design to allow for social distancing. You will need to create a theme for your new restaurant, give it a really unique name and come up with your own delicious and tasty menu. Try out some of the ideas from our learning menu to help with research for your new restaurant. Have Fun! Let the research begin...Take the hidden sugar challenge. If the product is more than 100g then you have to work out the nutritional values. What do you think might happen if the consumer does not notice this? Task 1: Weigh out 25g of sugar at home. Then pick three items from the pictures above that you think way about 25g of sugar. I will do one for you. A crunchie contains 27g of sugar. Task 2 Repeat for 40g and 100g of sugar. A can of coke has 39g of Sugar If you were to eat a whole tin of roses at Christmas you would have about 460g of sugar eaten!!!! Have a look at items in your home and see if you can work out the sugar content. Use these famous pieces of art to inspire your own drawings or paintings. |
