Hello Girls,
Hope you all had a lovely Easter and didn’t eat too much chocolate like I did! (See the picture of all my chocolate eggs below) Hope you are all well and remembering to wash your hands, sneeze into your elbow and social distance as best you can. I have gone through 3 big tubes of hand cream as my hands have been so dry from all the handwashing! Anyway, as we are unsure as to when schools will be reopening I have decided that it is best that we move on to our new topics in different subjects. This is your work to do over the whole week so try to do a bit from each section each day. I also know that you may not get all the work done over the week and that’s alright. I am aware that it may be difficult for you to get all your school work done at this strange time so don’t worry just get as much as you can done. The most important thing now is that you stay safe and happy. You will need some books that our on our book rental scheme so you must access it online. To access our maths book Planet Maths 4 book and our Irish book Abair Liom 4 google folensonline.ie. This will also gain you access to. Don’t worry it is very easy to do and will take less than 5 minutes. Also there are answer sheets that can be used to check your answers once you are finished. If you need me you can contact me on my work email: [email protected]. Also for any children who go to Ms. Heaslip’s room, you can have a look at her blog for some activities. Find the ones that are linked to the work that you usually do with her. Maths- Capacity. I always find this a really fun topic that you can do easily at home. You will need to use your maths book for some activities so remember to register on folensonline.ie. I know that maths this week must be might be tricky for you without the help of Mrs. Heaslip and I but give it your best try and do as much as you can. If someone at home can help you that’s super but don’t put pressure on anyone at home to help you if they are busy. Try to keep revising your times tables too!
English: Oral Interview: An interview is when you ask someone questions or you someone asks you questions to get information about a topic. In an interview remember to give long answers, do not answer with just “yes” or “no”. Make good eye contact also.
Spellwell: Do the next week's activities and practice a box of spellings each night. Ask someone to test you on Friday if they can, but don't worry if that's not possible. *If you only learn 10 spellings a week, choose the spellings you use the most in your writing. Gaeilge: An Aimsir- The Weather. You will need to use your book to do these activities so register on folensonline.ie. Irish will be tricky without the help of your teacher so just give it your best shot please. Vocab to practice:

Geography- Rocks and Soil. Go into your garden and find as many soil samples (sand, clay, pebbles, etc) as possible. Use this twinkl activity sheet to investigate the different soil samples.
