This week we were working on drawing the human figure. We explored the proportions that we need to notice while drawing humans. We looked at humans in eighths ! Like this: We observed a wooden mannequin and drew it in some different positions: We had fun doing some unusual things with our drawings e.g. we did them with our eyes closed ! We did them upside-down ! And we did them using the "wrong" hand ! Here are some of the results. Hope you like them: We also looked at how the human figure can fit inside a square and a circle. Leonardo da Vinci first drew Vitruvian Man like this in 1490. Vitruvius was an architect who first noticed these proportions in the human body. Here are our interpretations of Vitruvian Man : Then we ended by drawing some fun action figures : Thanks for reading the 5th class Blog.
