On Friday October 6th, we were delighted to welcome Jennifer Byrne, the Rose of Tralee to St. Philomena's. She was greeted by her Rosebud, Jade, who showed her around the school. She answered all of our questions, signed autographs, posed for photos and listened to our songs and music. She told us about her role as a doctor and her volunteer work. She is a very busy lady. The school made a donation to the HOPE Foundation as Jennifer is an ambassador for the charity. We wish Jennifer the very best of luck this year as Offaly's first Rose of Tralee. |
